Its a failed tech in real world conditions, specially in urban areas. In remote area if you have no wired options available then its a good alternative, also in remote areas there are not a lot of buildings and other obstacles blocking the signal.

No use of raising complaints in CPGRAMS as well. Today my appeal also got closed by giving false update that they performed all checks from JIO side and issue is with the VPN so need to check with my org admin. Don't have any option left as nothing is working. Written to Mukesh Ambani too and got a call from their team but all are singing same song in chorus. Literally a cheater company. Wasted my hard earned money on a useless product.

today in our circle a doctor lost 70 k in trading in stock market due to his air fiber, he had a jiofiber and after the recharge was over the jio sales advised him to take the jio air fiber citing its very advanced technology , very good speeds saar. and he took for 1 year and disconnected the wired one.
and lost 70 k. I pity him.

Hi I recently opted for Jio AirFiber (as a backup connection) I have to say by default the AirFiber connection was a disaster, slow upload speeds, huge packet loss etc, I raised the complaint and also used my contacts, posted on twitter via my handle geekyranjit and finally next day 4 engineers came to my location (they were on the terrace and making a lot of calls) and finally after 2 hrs said they need to fix some stuff at the 5G tower and some backend changes are needed, they said nothing is wrong with the installation or the Outdoor unit placement.

Got a call after 2 days, they have tweak things at the backend and Now the speeds and uploads are a lot better so they can fix things if they really want but most of them are lazy and give dumb excuses, for example initially the first engineer said 10% of the upload speed you are getting of your package plan is perfectly fine for this connection. Now I am getting decent speeds, even managed to upload a 7GB video (Redmi Note 13 Pro+ review) to Youtube via this AirFiber connection as my primary ACT fiber was having issues.

Still I would say sometimes I do get packet loss and the connection can get very slow, but as of now a reboot of router is quickly fixing it, but this AirFiber is no replacement for a dedicated Fiber connection I got it as a backup connection and for that its working fine, but I had to go through hoops and loops and then only they acknowledge the issue and fixed it.

Hate the fact that the 6 or 12 month advance that you pay is not refundable if they are not able to provide the service properly, which is such and un-ethical move. They could have deducted 2 months deposit from the advance balance, if cancellation is made but as of now if the service is not good you are stuck and in-directly you lost your money.

Moral of the story don't replace your normal Fiber connection with this Jio AirFiber connection coz I have seen some users did that mistake and are now regretting the same.

@geekyranjit what was the need to fall into this garbage technology which I would say still in its Beta Phase.
For people not having Fiber connection, its reasonable to go for AirFibre, but why you? You have Airtel Fiber as well as Jio Fiber.

@Nxtra I have the Airtel Fiber 1 Gbps connection in my old setup but these days I am hardly doing there for work, in my new location we just have ACT Fiber and as in this area the roads are not built properly and lot of construction work going on, there are frequent fiber cuts, have an outage almost every week, both Jio Fiber and Airtel Fiber are not ready to give Fiber connections as of now thus only option we have in our Society is this ACT Fiber. That's the reason I got this Jio AirFiber as a backup connection, I wanted Airtel AirFiber as Airtel 5G works better in this location but that's not yet launched in Hyderabad so went with this one and that worked today as again my ACT Fiber was down and I had to upload a video.
