Contacted all and sundry i could think of ( gm broadband , server room, sdo , local exchange ,etcetc) got all broadband contacts for delhi on their website and made phone calls and registered complaints everywhere. Pursued for about a month and took down all the names and people i spoke with. I remember not losing cool and talking politely to everyone i came in contact with and made them feel important and mine a genuine case for resync of speed since i was not getting full 2 mbps as promised... Devote an hour everyday for this purpose..haha. Dont remeber the emails but one was deadsl and another one that i mailed to quite a number of times. Dnt know exactly what clinched it but guess it was a combination of mails complaints and patience. I remeber evn gettin a call back from a ladyhigh ranked officer from mtnl to check whether my speeds were ok. Guess being persistant polite and following up helped...

Congratulaions! Finally.. Haha now just sit back and enjoy. You need to enjoy the benifits of hard labor mtnl makes one go through.. Just ensure that you have a single wire from pole to router / modem without breaks to get maximum stability in your connection. Tip the linesman on diwali and maybe call back a few local exchange people you contacted and put in a word of thanks so that next time if something goes wrong , they remember your name and treat it on priority... Thats how relationship are built in sarkari companies..hahaha.. Goodluck and thanks for letting us know that your issue got resolved.

Thanks, it was easy , DOT PGPORTAL did the trick, they just called me & requested me to send an email that my issue has been resolved .

The problem I have with MTNL is not that they dont respond or anything. just 1 mail and I get atleast 2 calls the same day, all of them say that 420kbps is fine for 512kbps. They even send a guy to check the speeds look for problems!
Same issue with night speeds. I really have no idea what to do. Repeated mail only gets me a visit by a MTNL's so called engineer to check the speeds.
