Get 2mbps Download Speed on MTNL Broadband Freedom 800 Plan

i am looking for new mtnl connection. (fed up with wireless dongles). Should i go for this plan. ?? i am a heavy downloader with long office hours where i will not be using my internet much in the day time.
please help.

Hey if anyone online..please ans..
I got my connection registered through MTNL helpline. .. a guy came on monday to my house when i was in office to "register" the connection and get the required documents. My father was also at home when he came.
The guy then asked for Rs 500 cash but papa refused to give him and told him to accept the check for the same amount. He refused and left the house.
can somebody tell me if this right?? I mean does one have to give MTNL guy rs 500 during registration??
Also tell me if i can register again for new connection??

You can register n number of times for a new connection. Dunno about the cash part.

ya u need to give them Rs 500 in cash. Amount is shown in your 1st bill then. Its not good mtnl policy for taking cash like this, but what to do :tongue:

I just got transferred to freedom 800 plan , they also shifted me to the other selfcare page, browsing speeds are a lot faster now , right now getting 512 kbps , my downstream is only 2052 kbps so i wont get full 2 mbps .
