28% GST on ACs is nonsense. Similar to 18% GST on Water/Air Purifiers. These are basic necessities these days. Does not matter if not everyone can afford it. Middle class manages to buy these and that makes it a non luxury item.

How is this even going to solve the problem? Government is solving own problem by letting dealers fight with each other.
They definitely FAILED to generate any mechanism for matching and proving.
Which means that effectively GST will be SAME AS VAT / CST. (VAT renamed as SGST and CST renamed as IGST)
What is the solution if supplier does not upload Invoice and eats up tax? Where to complain? Who will be judge?
All back to square one.
