I have it, and since we sign up via the mobile number like DUO, it's showing me all contacts from my phonebook as available to be messaged. I doubt anyone of them at this moment has the app.

it is not even showing me contacts who has the app when i click on the messaging button.

Google Assistant is great, but doesn't do much more than Google Now.

ok. noticed that my contacts are divided into two groups. one group i can chat using google powered sms. other i can just invite.

anyhow. the biggest problem i have with allo is the missing desktop app. this is also the reason i never used whatsapp seriously. i am not going to converse on a phone when i have a much better computing device sitting in front of me.
