Aren't these the same builds available from the Android website? Or these are the smaller updates that would not reset the devices?

These are not factory images but the OTA update that your phone downloads when you tap 'System Updates'. This will not factory reset your phone.

Mine is the GSM Galaxy Nexus. : So this is the build for me?

It's for the GSM version, but for Yakju (Mobile which brought from Google store but outside of USA).
