Quick question - Will updating nexus 4 to 4.3 wipe out the data? Cos I m on all stock and have no back up for contacts,apps, pics etc.
 
If it's updated via OTA update, you won't loose anything. But it's a better idea to backup anyway as a safe side.

Okay. And how do I backup as its not rooted and all stock?
 
If you don't have root, backup apps using this app.

Media can be backed up using the traditional way (mount as MTP, copy contents to your PC).
I assume your contacts are on Google, so no need to backup as it would sync back. If not on Google, you can use the following app to backup and restore contacts and SMS.

I'd wait for the OTA update. Too lazy to do adb related stuff.
