The reason why Google did not go for Key Lime Pie was that it was not a global dessert. Same applies on something like Laddoo Licorice was one of the strong contenders for L I believe. Maybe Sundar Pichai would stick with L release this time around

One thing I found strange in the specifications is Micromax supports memory cards upto 64gb while the other two only supports cards upto 32gb.

So yes... Looks like HTC would make One devices. And some models are likely to be powered by Qualcomm processors.

As for HTC... I am guessing, it would be simple. They just create the reference design. Everything else would be handled by a company like Foxconn. Google takes care of the software. HTC just give permission to use their logos. These devices frankly speaking are more Google devices than manufacturer devices.
