Badiya hai. Nexus 5 is not worth twice the price of Moto G

This has become a major annoyance. Everytime I wake up the phone, there are like 10-15 alerts for 3G usage.
Wi-Fi settings look fine.

I never faced this on Galaxy Nexus.

I think that's normal, unless something is being downloaded all mobiles turn off WiFi unless you set it up in settings to keep WiFi always on, all mobiles connect to 3g at regular intervals to check for push messages/servicesIf WiFi stays on all the time your battery will drain very quicklyPlease rectify if I am wrong , I am not 100% sure but I think this is how it works

Under settings go to WiFi then again go in advanced settings it has certain options for keeping WiFi on while in standby mode
