@adminIn the battery section, check if it displays WiFi as being on all the time. I don't think WiFi switches itself off, in fact I've observed better battery on wifi than on data.

The second screenshot clearly shows that I have set the device to stay connected to Wi-Fi during sleep mode.

Just a clarification. I am not looking to save battery here. I am looking to keep the phone on Wi-Fi always.

Hmm. The indicator isn't very accurate. Extremely small periods of no WiFi aren't recorded.Prolly not the best way to go about things, but try leaving the phone untouched for an hour or two.

Maybe you can try turning the 'Wifi optimization' off, although it should work with it enabled.

hehe. i am right now 5 feet from the wireless router.

Your wifi indicator states otherwise, no full signal. Strange!
