Ok. Just wondering what your response is to kickass' view above. Is your max actual download speed capped at 10-15 Mbps?

Ya although it is temporary and has FUP , it is still better to see some ISP providing good high speed and reasonable FUP limit at decent price .

Quick qs : on my phone I'm getting download speeds of up to 40Mbps via wifi router but on my pc it drastically reduces to a max of 8 Mbps. Any suggestions on how to increase this?

Normally I'm a low data user. Right now I'm trying out the speeds for a month paying 780 and if consistent, don't mind paying 1k for 50gb.

@shethsa, connect the lan cable directly from your modem to your computer and then check the speed. If you get fast enough connections, then you know that the problem is in your wifi router's lan. Alternately, try changing the server at which you are checking speed on the computer. I have often found that IndusInd and Honesty servers in Mumbai (on speedtest, net) don't have a great connection with Hathway but you if you try Vodafone, Reliance or Hathway itself, you will get faster speeds.

Thx! Unfortunately my modem is up on the wall because of cabling issues! The router is probably not an issue as I get good speeds on my phone
