i had called them up they said it is available in goregaon w and the representative will come to take cheque, after no one turned up till 2 days i called to be told they wont be able to provide in my building. on questioning why? they said they are call center guys and they are just informing what was forwarded by backednd team. it was strange as i had hathway connection earlier, i called up my cable operator who provides hathway set top box and he gave me local hathway guys no, he told me the internet is available 300 meters from ur building but for him to get wire to my building he needs atleast 5 people. this is utter crap, this should be the work of their sales guys am sure if they come up to my society distrubute pamphlets many will take but its not my job to get guys for them neither i have time. their behavious is like MTNL guys who say same thing about firbe optic.
This is exactly the reason I gave up on them long back. Most unprofessional is an understatement and that too in today's day and age of stiff competition.
Just one call to the call center and you know what you're dealing with. I prefer the MTNL "tai", these guys have absolutely no idea about their product and the version changes from one CC executive to the other. I felt like laughing when you mentioned sales team, I dont think they even have one or its long defunct.
Which company has a policy that they will revert to the customer only if its feasible? In the mean time we are expected to keep calling their pathetic call center. There have been instances of people actually going to their office so that thy lordship will provide a connection and oblige. How ridiculous is that? Most pathetic ISP, I can go on and on.
In summary, if you already have their connection, good for you. But as a new user, stay away from this circus and don't bother calling them back!

I agree on the above 2 posts. I was told my building falls under their coverage area, and after quite a bit of following up, they said that it doesn't.

Yep. These call centre guys are picked up randomly. They have to work on government sanctioned minimum wage. So shit happens. I went through same experience where they didn't bother calling me back.
I won't call them either as MTNL 8 Mbps is rocking.

Hey, which plan is this(8 Mbps)? Is it unlimited... Thanks

Finally got my DSL 2750U router to work!
Speed tests:
Hathway - Mumbai

Reliance - Mumbai

Paris

It looks like the on international links speed goes down to about 30mbps, although it is still worth it IMO. Better stability than MTNL atleast after a day :D
Also it looks like the sales experience really depends on your local Hathway office. The guys at Sai Star/Thakur Village are pretty good.
