Hi. Iam using mtnl delhi 2mbps plan. Iam an online gamer and play csgo alot. I recently got my modem replaced through mtnl as my previous modem stopped working.
So my issue is, im getting a very high ping (110-160 ms) when i check on speedtest.net.
Also iam facing alot of lag and losses in my games as well as ping spikes.
Calling MTNL doesnt help as they only ask if net is working or not. My major concern is the ping.
Is there anything i can do? any settings?

Restarting modem alot of times sometimes fix the ping issue.

Please help.

If anyone can provide with the lan settings as well. I would be greatly thankfull.

Trying to play world of warcraft on their EU servers and the past 4 days have been horrible. 3k latency at times 5k. This is up from 300-350ms I normally get!
I tried google DNS as well as MTNLs own. Not fixed..
Anyone has any idea on what's going on...

Yes..... Since last 4days pings to EU are slightly high and have many "Request Timeouts"...... so lots of packet loss........

I am using HotSpot Shield VPN to Bypass the EU route MTNL takes..... so Online Gaming isnt hampered......

Try pinging riot.nl

Code:
ping riot.nl -t

Pinging riot.nl [213.136.12.232] with 32 bytes of data:

MTNL Guy don't know what is Jitter & ping so it useless to talk to them.
I am also Online gamer and playing Ghost recon phantoms and from Month of july iam facing too much ping on Eu servers after MTNL revise its Plans rate from August {but bill charge starts from MAY}.
in my case i see they reduce my download speed on same plan but they claim nothing has been change from their side.
MTNL IS AT ITS WORST STATE FORM PAST 10 YEARS.
leave mtnl its mtnl's crap service which increase PIng.

pings to EU and NA are 100ms higher than normal....... too many request timeouts too....... something wrong with MTNL since 6PM??
