Ok, so an update on this issue from Airtel side. Apparently their routing has been a mess due to the integration of newer cities into the fiber backbone since last 2 months. They are doing extensive testing during night times as well due to which speeds are unstable after midnight. It will take at least 1-2 months for this to complete. The guy said once it is resolved the earlier ping times of 65-70 ms to Singapore will be back and the international routing will improve as well.

I would take this info with a grain of salt but I thought this guy seemed competent enough with his know-how in dealing with my Nokia ONT issue and awareness of the ping fluctuations to make me believe that progress is indeed happening behind the scenes.

I believe you know about BGP and the broadband AS 24560 has only single uplink AS 9498 which is responsible for both domestic and international routing. The guys at 9498 are completely different function ( a.k.a Business Unit) inside Airtel and they don’t share all these things pretty easily with anyone, at least not with their internal customer.
I am pretty sure that guy is faking.

@panks21 You might as well be right. The reason I was willing to believe him was because he specified particular websites (like twitch, youtube livestream) which were getting affected due to this upgrade, which I myself experienced past midnight.
And the ping situation is worsening on my Tata Sky connection as well so that impacted my willingness to believe just about anything hoping to get some answers. This has gone on for long enough.

@JB701 If you could post some screenshots from gameseverping.com of mentioned games that would be very cool.
Game list: Call of Duty:MW, Rainbow Six, Battlefield, PUBG and Valorant.

Do let the pings run for 30 secs for accurate numbers. Thanks a ton!

I'm on Tripleplay. It uses Airtel for intl transit and Jio for domestic.
