So i have recently got bsnl ftth service and its been good, lot better then traditional adsl2 system, So speed is great too but i want someone to look at these parameters of fibre cable and please help me to find out about the quality of fibre cable, So here are these parameters ......and i am unable to understand them.

EPON StateRegistered and certified
OAM_LinkEstablished

Optical Module Input Power(dBm)-17.4
Optical Module Output Power(dBm)2.0
Optical Module Supply Voltage(uV)3330000
Optical Transmitter Bias Current(uA)11582
Operating Temperature of the Optical Module(°C)61

@varkey @Gokul Kannan
whats a good value for optical module output power (dBm) or TX power ?
i am getting random drops in zoom and in downloads
the isp said smthing like ur ONU should be of 12v 2A
mine is 12v .5A , also i cud not find anything online with that spec
plz help
my TX Power or optical output power is 1.4
input is -17

Have you guys tried tracerouting to the zoom frontend servers ? Also maybe do a ping test for 20 mins or so

I think the ISP is kinda right . The adapter's 12V 0.5A translates to just 6watts(P=VI) to your ONT.
Usually ONT takes 12watts which is 12V 1A . So you should get the same . More ampere never does any harm . The ont will take how much it needs to work correctly
It is better to change the adapter to a higher rating and try if it works

I have a GPE600 StelFiber ONT and below is PON Status

Temperature 56.097656 C
Voltage 3.428000 V
Tx Power 2.390501 dBm
Rx Power -19.354920 dBm
Bias Current 19.176000 mA

LCO asked to use a UPS. is this a valid resolution ?

This is not a valid resolution . LCO does not know everything at all times . Anyways , the UPS does the work of providing uninterrupted power which does not have any relation with a ONT giving less performance

@Abel Can you post the ping screenshots ?
