So the official answer is 1000 loss. now whoever has the doubt can look back few pages to see the explanation.

After reading all the answers and it can be concluded that the answer is Rs.1000/-
...plus dal mein thoda tadka lagatein hai...
Loss = Rs.1000 + devaluation of rupee due to addition of fake currency (which btw would be negligible if we consider only this note.).
