my friend has also on new server, and also having ip 117.*.*.*
he do check his usage in data.bsnl.in

happy deepavali to one all

BSNL NIB-II PORTAL is the main web page.
There is a log in in the left hand side.
When I tried to log in error message received.
Then selected the Registration.
In the form it is meant for mostly telephone users. no mention of Dataone.
After surfing all menu items, finally landed at
Dataone WebMail
Go to the bottom of the page to select link for usage. !

Anybody else who has logged in at the first site and could access
their Data one Usage webpage direct kindly report.
Must inform the DUF, Dataone QUF ,DataFox programmers.
Para two:
Try this route.

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd.
http//www.bsnl.co.in/service/dataone.htm ( corrupted add: after http)
New page Check usage./Tariff/back
Select Check usage.
I have four choices( 3 programs & BSNL site ) to check my BSNL Broadband usage.
In FireFox /DataFox. get info in the statusbar.

after reading the above post , I've tried to register at the
BSNL NIB-II PORTAL thru firefox (java enabled) . the form
is not accepting the valid date of birth . it's last digit is lost
as soon as we leave the concerned data entry box !

Edit : registered by using IE . I've registered just to check it .

@seshu . Yes. most of the forms are programmed for IE. I just switch to IE from FF and with IETab and back to FF with addon Firefoxview 0.31.4. Option will appear in the context menu of IE. ( I stretch my 1 GB quota to 2 GB by using FF+ addons)Also JAVA is required for checking BSNL broadband usage. ( BSNL wants to promote one brandname: That is where the confusion has come )All above info , please ignore, as I am sure you already know them.PS: By registering what facilities we get as a landline/cellphone/broadband user ?

In the address bar u will see http://10.*.*.*/noCookies.jsp
in stead type http://10.*.*.*/webLogin.jsp

@mahesh_padisetty :
What is so secret about the site ?
may be Anushka is checking at the wrong site ?
Whereas in the site http://10.*.*.*/weblogin.jsp cookies are not required.
All of us will benefit if you disclose the details of the site.
@anushka : sorry. we have to wait for above info.
I will disable cookies in my browsers also.
If you think you will get some help see this thread

PS: @mahesh_padisetty: My IP now. 59.92.36.166 ( BSNL)

^right now my friend is getting error record not found, sorryand he told me that its so crap and it never updates regularly as we getas soon as he gets i'll try to get a screen from him and i will post

@essbebe I meant BSNL is porting many of its old Dataone subscribers (along with new subscribers) to this new range of ip addresses (117.x.x.x). Many of my friends are at loss of how to check their account usage, due to this.

Since this particular thread deals with such an issue i had posted my query.

@cool_techie_tvm OK.thanks. Some of you seem to be under the impression that an IP address is secret and cannot be disclosed here. To add to the misery even the IP address Where you want to check your usage is blanked.!POINT1 :IF You are not allotted a static IP, everytime you connect the IP Changes. and is called DYNAMIC IP.Point 2 :Let BSNL allot any IP from any pool, ultimately to check your usage yourcustomer ID and password are required. in my case it is essbebe password : zfr5tpqasw( This required to enter in the modem a) for always on BB ,or ) the dialup page to connect BB or c) to check usage)Point 3 : I need not know what is my IP everyday /and everytime I disconnect and reconnect. Time now 1600 my IP is 59.92.36.166 now.Point 4. Default Gateway is 192.168.1.1 always. wait disconnecting1608 my IP is changed to 59.92.1.123.Point 5:See Posting No2. in this thread. To the best of my knowledge BSNL the Usage web site IP's stored in DataFox are valid and work beautifully, saving us the misery of checking usage directly from BSNL ( in four steps).PS: BTW how the server finds out ( usage old or new ) whether I am an "Oldie" or "New" account ? !!!!
