CM Uddhav Thackeray: Grocery stores, chemists, essential services can remain open for 24 hours

Easing the life for everyone in the state during the nationwide lockdown, Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Thursday announced that all essential commodities stores can remain open for 24 hours in the state.

But please remember it is blanket permission and left to the owner of the store to decide. It's not mandatory.

It does not say 'have to be open' (that's a compulsion), it says 'can be open' (that's optional)
