Not necessarily
govt's only start having problems when something becomes mainstream
Till a few years back, the internet was used by a minority. Govt's worldwide were fine with it
Over the last year, they have been going crazy internationally
Some thing happened with international
TV in India : AXN,etc were uncensored till they became mainstream channels
Once gaming becomes mainstream in India this same issue will arise
All they will be blocking in India will be mainstream stuff like FB,Twitter, etc
Even these forums are likely to remain untouched
not necessarily. The framework which is about to put in place will deem a site illegal/offensive if it simply meets any of the requirement.
Its also time we look at the "religious sentiments" argument , in rural area , a single festival can last 2-3 days with blarring speakers and 4AM rituals and again blarring
music .. Also what about religious proliferation in channels ? Isnt that a biased support to some group ?
As one guest in a live show told yesterday "Its time politicians develop a sense of humor"
This is what happens when politicians are exposed to internet and its sarcastic comments and photos are seen by someone from 60`s or 70`s .. They are ust like anyother moral policing group , reluctant to grow with time and technology
