Kerala Vision Broadband FTTH

@varkey I had taken static IP with KV. Paid 1500/- ( or 1000/- don't remember now ) as initial deposit for an year. I opted for static IP since I wanted to open incoming traffic in few UDP ports.

I was paying normal monthly charges ( 750/- or so). But some point of time an amendment came from DOT that static IP should be provided to subscribers who will be paying more than 1000/- as monthly rent. Due to this KV created a new plan for 1001/- and I had to pay this rent. By that time my play with the UDP ports come to an end and I opted out static IP plan.

Things changed during lock down time , KV was so pathetic , then I switched to BSNL.
Wait what? So I can't get Static IP if I have a 800₹ monthly plan? Need to pay 1000+/monthly and 1500/year for it?

What happens if I apply for a static IP, paid 1500, got it and if I run 800/month, will they cut the static IP? And need to pay 1500 again?

if they provide you static IP , then your plan will automatically change to 1000/- plus plan. You have to pay that plan charge to retain your connection. On the second part question , I never tried that , so no clue on it.

How to set Netlink-HG323 into pure Modem mode? So that I can add another router for QoS configuring, Since setting up QoS configuration gives headache in HG323... xD

Hi Guys , I have applied for a KV broadband last week. But they are not giving any new connection anywhere in kerala now and will take another two weeks as per my local provider. They says they are upgrading the infrastructure. Is it true ?

@santhukp Yep, heard the same (no new connections) two weeks back as well. Not sure of the timeline for re-opening new connection requests.

Is there no other option in your area? Your operator might has tie up with other providers too.
