LG Flat Panel with extended warranty

I am thinking of buying a TFT monitor. The LG site says that they are providing extended warranty coverage for 18.5 inch TFTs bought between Jan. 2009 and March 31,2009. Is LG good? How much does an 18.5 inch TFT cost?

get a Dell. order on the phone. they usually give 3 year warranty by default. you can pay a bit extra for an extended 2 years.

I got 19" Dell.. They gave me 5 years warranty.. and Dell costs 300 more than Samsung.. I didnt mind paying 200 extra for 2 years warranty.. I dont have idea about LG though ...

I made enquiries today and found that an 18.5 LG would cost 6750 to 7100 (7100 being the authorised dealer's price). How much does a Dell cost? Ordering over telephone is unlikely to be accepted except in metros. I visited several shops over a last few days but never heard Dell mentioned by any shopkeeper.

LG makes crap panels, be it TV or Computer monitors. Get a Samsung or Dell LCD screen...

I have a friend who used to work with Dell.. He told me that, Dell sells samsung monitors as Dell.. No difference..The diff is just warranty.. I got my Dell monitor from a reseller in Bangalore (Brigade Road) for 8300 including VAT.. This model is with HD port option.. With a normal VGA port, it will cost you 7800/-

Dell Displays are now available in small cities like cochin by dealers.AOC is a brand I would like to Buy.PS:I am also looking to buy a 19" tft monitor this month.most of the sellers says samsung,aoc are doing well these days.their service is also good.and viewsonic- god damn pathetic warranty ,lot of complainst against it.solutions ,mostly got until you reach at CORE.

My first choice would always be Dell followed by Samsung.. I didnt even consider Viewsonic when I was buying Monitor..
