heh whats the need for them to apply fair usage policies. the service sucks with major downtimes. and of course mobile connections have terrible limits.

ROFL, implicit FUP :isleep:
Thanks for mentioning that.

Even I dont face any issues on my connection. I am using this connection from past 2 years and My parents are also using the same connection @ HomeTown. None of us have faced any major issue with service. :wewin:And as saurabh said, Unlike Airtel, there is no Upward Usage cap/limit in Flat fee plans in Reliance. Flat fee plans are truly Unlimited in Reliance.

I guess you can shift to the 649 plan; just don't get the phone installed!

I spoke to CC today, if you want to migrate to 649 plan, You have to take there landline. This is insane! :wall:

They are asking for 500 deposit .. I already have a landline at home and don't wanna change the number, and seriously I don't trust Reliance Billing ! and all my family members have a mobile too..

the landline is THE mode for providing broadband to your house. just take a package which has no hidden charges for 'free calls'. do not take the instrument. treat it as a broadband connection.

Well in that case am using Reliance just because no other ISP is ready to give me a connection., because of feasibility issues. As soon as Airtel comes in my area I would jump .. so dont wanna spend 500 with Reliance, and I dont mind paying 500 to Reliance but I just dont trust them

a couple of my friends have had terrible experience dealing with reliance landline based broadband connections. guys came. took the money for the installation. installation never took place.

They never bothered to collect ADSl modem ZX831series even after disconnection more than six months back !I am using it as standby ! ( not my connection. a friend's )

Well, that sounds like some nonsense that CC made up on the spot. There is no deposit for the phone at least in Hyderabad. And I surely know a guy who took a connection but asked that the phone not be installed. But for the deposit, you can simply unplug and lay the phone to rest, if you like to forego the free calls, that is. Did it sound like a refundable deposit btw?

Surely something apt for this 'may I help you' thread!
