modem problem

I got a new connection and each end every time i restart the modem i have to enter the username password in the modem configuration.Plan:Home 250Modem:ZTE ZXDSL 831AIIis there 'ne solution for dis, plz help me out as soon as possible

Did you wait for two or three minutes after Save/reboot command ?
In Taskbar, you will get message LAN cable disconnected . Again connected etc.
Wait. and try. Don't hurry to open a web page.
I will give the old link ( in this forum)for settings later , if not solved. .
Go through the old threads. for your modem model.

no the internet works perfectly when the password & username but when restarted it gets reset.yes i do wait for sumtime.and where is save/reboot given

Did you go through the link given in 2 ?

select WAN.

last 3 steps are

1. on internet connection configuration page
Under Configure WAN IP Settings

select Obtain an IP address automatically,
check Enable NAT
check Add Default Router

press apply

2. Next Page Configure Broadband User Name and Passwoed
enter service name : anything u want
User name : ID provided by BSNL
Password : Password corresponding to that ID

select Session established by Always On

press Next

3. finally Press apply and reboot your modem

Look for a system setting called 'Apply changes' or 'Save changes' or similar. Settings if changed are not saved by default in most routers.
