MTNL Broadband: 2mbps for free on unlimited plans on sundays in April 2011

confirmed :irock: !! i had kept my download ON on utorrent & was watching a movie...i paused for a second to check out the client, and to my disbelief, the DL speed was 210 kB/s, the one which i used to receive earlier 2 months back on 'MTNL Trib NU 2 mbps' plan :iomg: !!!!!! and then i thought of checking the forum, and saw this post, and hence posting here. i dont know what's happening, but if its some indication of speed-upgrades for users in near-future, then HAIL MTNL ! :wewin:

BTW, am on 'MTNL Trib 1 mbps unltd' plan since 2 months after switching from the 2 mbps NU plan.......

I am asking which Triband plan are you on and whether you are getting double speeds as against your plan.

I m on Rs 999 Plan 1Mbps unlimited... It seems only 1 Mbps plan got a upgrade in speed so I guess it might be a screw up... Hoping it atleast lasts a week ... Anyone on any other plan feel the speed bump???

On my 2Mbps Unlimited* plan !!!

No increase in speeds.

hey i checked my modem page just now...it says DS Rate as 2043 kbps, and US Rate as 1022 kbps...as i said, am on Trib dsl_999_unltd plan....what's happening ? [though happening for good :cool2:]

Me too getting 2mbps speed my actual plan is 749 @ 752 speed

It seems that only Mumbai users are only getting double speeds... Anyone from Delhi getting double speeds?

Haha the 'Holi effect' is proving beneficial to some of MTNL's Triband customers. Even I am getting around 1.75 Mbps on 512Kbps UL plan.

Offtopic: I can't open my D-Link modem page. It always times out. Can anybody tell me how to open it?

Ok, so in my case the download speed increases only for Sunday. Now back to square one.

yes, me too back to square one feeling a bit of 'speed lag' but i seriously hope this is a 'trailer' of things to come !
