Line condition varies a lot with factors like Type of Modulation/Annex used..... distance from exchange..... Profile Speed...... etc

SNR downstream above 15dB is considered ideal for stability.....

Your Line atten is similar to mine..... so ur probably abt the same distance to the xchg as me...... so stats should hav been better....

Just for ur reference......here r my stats on various speeds & Annex.....
Hmm thanks for the info, so should i lower my DSL plan speed? is 8mbps too much for my line to handle?

Thanks.

Man, how come your line attenuation is not increasing even when your speeds are 4times the 2mbps one. (downstream)

If ur not dcing regularly...... then no need to change speeds...... my uncle has 8Mbps with SNR at 7dB.... still no dc.

I dont think Line attenuation changes with speed profile..... cause I think of it as distance to the DSLAM which remains constant.... only SNR seems to be affected with speeds.....

Ya its doesn't dsc now much after i changed the modem to TP-Link td8817, i do still have problems downloading xbox one games with frequent "installation errors" Never had this issue before a month ago dunno how all this started up.

guys fed up of this errors i m getting while downloading xbox one games, I got a static Ip address with my 8mbps plan, if i change my usage plan which has dynamic IP will that make a difference as it will keep jumping servers? input would be great.

Thanks.

If u dont hav any dc or timeouts or pk loss on ur line.... then u dont need to chg plans.....

Wht u probably need is a VPN.....

I hav a problem where YouTube doesnt buffer faster than 50-100KBps..... so every video lags and keeps buffering every few secs..... So I use HotSpot Shield VPN service(Free) to view YouTube.... Using VPN, YouTube buffers at 500-800KBps so 720p videos work without lag...

You probably need a VPN.... Paid or Free..... @kickass uses Paid VPN regularly..... u can ask him..... I use HotSpot Shield and some other free PPTP servers sometimes....

But only go for VPN if ur sure ur line is good......
