How did you go about it, did you need a new line or a new router ?

Nope neither, I actually wanted the 10Mbps plan which needed a new line and router but the 8Mbps was just a plan change...
But there's still a bit of chasing em till the bandwidth comes through I'm sure, let's not count those chickens quite yet.

Its ADSL. Nothing strange. Whether they are able to provide 8mbit is another question.

Let's see. If the reviews are good then I'm surely opting for the Rs. 990 odd plan. 28GB is a little less as I've got into the habit of downloading huge torrents, but I'll manage. The plan is more than value for money.

Bah. Seems more like a gimmick. Don't take requests over phone = more than half your customers don't apply for it. Those who apply, reject their applications. Seems like these plans are only on paper.

Same like SBI IRCTC Credit card which is available only on paper and nowhere exist.
Applied for 4mbps combo plan. No hope or luck for 8 mbps. 1500 aunties have no idea about this plan.
