MTNL Broadband: Ping issues

hmm i saw ur speed test results...very good for asian servers..but it was same as mine for us/uk y?
offtopic: how do u spell hayai?? is it like hiii lol

I think your question should be how do you pronounce hayai... lol...

airtel mentioned about some cable repair work to be done during this time. airtel has been pretty buggy for me over the last couple of hours. maybe MTNL is affected by the same cable work.

i think MTNL doin something, may be new cabling FTTH...

Submarine, not domestic cabling. MTNL continues to focus on *DSL ;)

EIG should be coming online about - this is the new alternative to SMW4 that I was talking about last month. Maybe everyone is connecting their load balancers to the new cables?

Hey ppl, I was facing the same high ping problem for a week after which i started raising complaints on the mtnl complaints no. (dial 198 from ur landline & follow steps)... after raising about 8 to 10 complaints, i got a linesman come to my place & test the line, the stupid dumb@$$ checked the line & said all is fine coz u can hear the dial tone.. he tried to blame the modem saying there was a fault in it coz it was not from mtnl. I got furious, called DGM Broadband Services Mrs. Rohini Sampai to complaint before i could put a written complaint to the TRAI mentioning all the names of ppl iv complained to. Within the next 2 days, i also spoke to the Chief engineer of my area & my internet was up & running absolutely fine. The solution to my problem, I had the time & I had to vent my frustration, so i vented it out on the top ranks instead of the worthless robotic lower staff.Acc. to the chief engineer, he connected me to a new port & that solved my problem. Synopsis: Use the direct no.'s of the top brass in MTNL on their website to fix your problems & be assertive if being polite does not work. Insist on speaking to the officers itself instead of their assistants who pick up the phone.

in my case i had to remove the existing 1 n reapply for new broadband connection...which worked 4 me...
