My experience with ACT BB

@broadband.act - Connection is working from 0803 IST today. I will update you in case I face any issues again.
 
My experience has been HORRIBLE.
I have been using ACT since last 6 months but now when its time to renew the service --- these guys are absolutely unprofessional - to the point where I have started looking for alternatives.
They claim they have given me a free wifi router at the start of my connection, 6 months ago. I do not have an ack of the same on my copy of the receipt. They claim they made the addition later on.. NOW THAT IS RIDICULOUS. Due to this they wont give me a 1 month free (for paying 6 months together ) and are asking me to pay up for the 7th month.
I have been compelled to look for other alternatives. This is braod day light robbery.
Worst thing is --- it is just impossible to get in touch with the managers or some one with authority. The call center folks are nicely shielding their "managers".

Yes. The issue has been resolved -- verbally so far. But I dont see any further issues though.
And for the readers ---- I've been an ACT user for last 6+1 months (and renewing it for another 6 months) and I am extremely satisfied with their service. The speed is awesome ..... in case of minor issues---- on calling their call center, the turn around time is relatively quick -- so no issues there too.
Overall, I am quite happy staying with ACT. For the price (Rs.999 for 15Mbps / 40GB) its a good deal --- and Airtel / BSNL are a long way to go ... esp in my area.
I do wish the billing issue that I faced would have been avoided --- but it now has been --- and thats what matters.

Internet is inaccessible even now. When will this get resolved?
Update : spoke to Tech Support Engnr, Manjunath at 2012 hrs, IST and request number, 0001546147 has been registered. Assurance was that the problem would be fixed within 24 business hours. I will update this thread as soon as the issue is resolved.
 
29-Dec-2013, 1549 hours - ACT Broadband - If its gonna be like this, as no support on weekends, then would you be kind enough to reduce bill for these 2 connection non-working days? Internet has become a basic necessity and your team needs to be equipped to handle emergencies on weekends. Giving an excuse that that it would take 24 business hours is not good enough.
