My experience with ACT BB

Status update as of 30-Dec-2013, 1238 hours, IST
Connection is still down and I am unsure what exactly is being done to resolve the problem. Its been almost half a day now and I haven't seen any positive responses so far. Will this issue be resolved today?

Hari, the customer service executive confirms that issue would be resolved by 1930 hours, IST today.
Update as on 1323 hours, IST
It looks like issue has been resolved and I am able to browse now. I will keep updating once the issue is completely resolved.

is there any one else who is getting local peering service from act ?

broadband.act - It looks like multiple folks are complaining abt reduction in speeds even before the FUP limit is reached. I have seen 2 complaints so far on Twitter and in this forum. Please try to provide proper QOS taking into consideration the hefty amounts we as subscribers pay for the services.
Status update : 09-Jan-2014 - having speeds only upto 2 Mbps before FUP (119 GB as on this date). Spoke to Manjunath @ 1843 hrs and he confirmed that there is no issue at ACT's end.@2145 hrs, Gilani confirms that the complaint has been escalated to the back-end tech team and requests me to wait for 30 mins, logout and then login to check for speeds.

broadband.act - If the issue is not resolved, do not expect me to pay the cost of the plan at the end of the month. I want a discount on the payments as this issue has been there for the past 2 days.

broadband.act - It's been more than a day now. When are you planning to resolve my issue? You said HIGH PRIORITY. I doubt it.
Status Update : 12-Jan-14, 1249 hours
Spoke to Rupa of ACT Cust Care who reqstd me to send a screenshot of bandwidth usage. Sent the screenshot from ACT's own portal which shows that I have used less bandwidth than the allowed FUP limit. Awaiting resolution.
12-Jan-14 - Status Update as of 1426 hrs, IST
I get an update from Tech Sup Engr, Ganga that I have rchd my FUP limit, hence the downgrade in speed. ACT's own portal page shows that I am still left with 36GB of bandwidth within FUP limit.
 
@ubrejon - I don't wanna be hasty as this is the first time I am facing a problem. Agreed that ACT BB have been a snail in making things work, but from Nov 2013 till now, service has been top-notch except for the occasional lengthy downtime.
Issue has finally been resolved today at 1753 hours, IST.
