He just wants to go to shop physically and see all handsets that guy shows and select samsung one. damn those samsung cheapo androids and their advertisements in every damn paper/tv channels. I made him sit in front of computer and took an half an hour class explaining difference b/t ICS and gingerbread, explained the Ebay refund policies and rules!

Happy with my First Android, One thing i like it in comparision with iOS is that Apple store asks for the credit card no while registering, and Google Play has not such restriction. The problem is, i sometimes get worried if i mistakenly install some unwanted costly app.
from what i have seen, you can create a functional Apple account without requiring to put in a credit card number. maybe not from the phone itself. but it is definitely possible

Had you tried in too early days, or was it in recent?, i registered about 7months ago, and it asked for a credit/debit card number. Things might have changed now, don't know.

long time ago actually. this option is available on creation of account on their website from what i know.
