LOL.. please check india's past 10 year inflation.
first of all check India's GDP for lat decade! since 1991. and go study economics for christs sakes.

inflation as a part of profit ??? where did u study economics ??? India has grown into a middle class country, i would say lower niche of higher middle class, believe me, whgen U come back to india after long time u can see the difference.
and Inflation is part of Uprising always, ever heard inflation during downturn?( except when India was like a communist country)
anyways to the point Right now rates for BB are getting highly targetted it seems like companies are searching for right price to fix on; FUP with rage and thinking that TRAI still has head on its body will be down and null-void in few. but as mgcarley ( where is HAYAYI yet ??? ) said 1 Mbits for 750 should be a norm so taht we can reach upto 5 Mb for like 1200 and 10 + for around 2k, Look at the prices now, I, U and most of us get around 1 Mbps for like 1100/1200 it will come down. just have a hope or better yet, HOOK UP UR WIRE TO SUBMARINE CABLES that outta do it.

Wow. Nice to see things so trivialized.

Why do people keep asking where is Hayai? Anyone who has read the FAQ in the last month knows the stage we're at... but if he's hoping that new submarine cables are going to bring faster speeds to India, he has another thing coming. And if he thinks we're going to offer 5mbit/s for like 1200 (unless our prices are cut rather significantly again), that's probably also a little way off. 10 for 2k is plausible though... why is this? It's the bloody infrastructure and right of way. It is our SINGLE LARGEST cost. It costs more than staff, more than bandwidth more than property, more than licenses.

But yeah, good luck trying to hook up a wire to the submarine cables :D

Jeebus, honestly I didnt know there was an FAQ-FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS, having the status quo of the launch. I guess that is frequently asked question.:) anwaysys 10 for 2k Is not good actually, considering what tata is asking for 10Mbits. Infrastuctre yes its gonna play heavy,
and as for last point I meant that sarcastically, U dont what some morons do here, they hook up cables to high tension electricity lines, hooks up to cable tv lines and what not!!!!

Why would mg further reduce his prizes from rs 1999 to 1200, when he is already getting LOSS.
He is providing 5 mbps at Rs 1999, its cheap than RELIANCE which provides 2 mbps @ Rs 2599.

Actually i did'nt get the point where MG is buying bandwidth 10/GB , and selling it for Rs 1999 for anticipated 200 GB which is rs 1 or more loss for him. CONFUSED

Uhhhhhhhh... you must think I don't know how to run a business. Do you think I'd sell bandwidth at Rs10/GB if that's what it cost me? It costs me a little bit less, but once infrastructure is taken in to account, if the average usage for all users of that particular plan significantly exceeds 200GB, then it would begin to look unprofitable. But that would require like, 95% of people to be using in excess of 200GB.

10mbit/s flat-rate or 10mbit/s with like 30GB FUP?

Yeah, but given that we're using completely fiber networks, unless the guys have several thousand dollars of splicing tools and expertise in splicing fiber, they're going to find it hard to hook in to our network.

10mbit/s flat-rate or 10mbit/s with like 30GB Fair Usage Policy?
I need to edit my own sentence, I meant 10 Mbit for 2k is quite good actually, My point is I am thinking 10mbit with unlimited and hope not to get battered with f***ing usage policy! ( can u believe all operators are saying its TRAI's rule, heard that 2 times in 2 days;while inconvo with 2 ISP's , I wanna read that "Rule".)

I've never read any rule of there being a fair-usage policy either. I guess the customer support people are just saying what they're told to say, whether it's true or not.

Our fair usage policy is something along the lines of "don't abuse the network" - and if you do, we'll set the customers who you've affected on you :P

Kapil sibal to meet tommorow with the telco's to discuss National broadband plan. They have already done it once i think.....:confuse:Dying to hear some good news:@.....may be LLU and fiber connection to every home.
