need help badly---bsnl broadband errors

ya maybe vista compatiblity is a problem.
Ya tried those opendns.Still the same.

Ya i did uncheck Ipv6,client for microsoft networks, file and printer sharing.Still no use!!

Do you know of any modems that are visrta compatible??

change VCI to 35.Default Gateway and LAN IP address should not be same.In your Post NO 6. quotethe modem is set to PPPoE dailing. VPI:0, VCI: 35 unquote. how it is changed now to 32 ? ( for bridge mode also VCI should be 35.)

^^ Actually my internet connection has 6 entries.That's just the first one.hee are the rest:-

You need only one connection and you can change/edit the entries. try bridge_0_35 0/35
Now you have to use a dialer to connect.
You can change the bridge mode to always on PPPoE/PPPoA and enter your ID/PW and try.
Come to the worst, you can try any combination in all the six entries.
For BSNL VCI Vpi is 0 and 35. usually enter user ID without @ dataone.
For airtel Vci 1 vpi 32 usually.

So should i change the first entry to bridge_0_35 0/35 and delete the rest ??

and if i do that then should i have to delete broadband connection from "manage network connections" in network and sharing center??

1.No need to delete other entries.
2. If your Modem has a diagnostics page check status or DSL status.
3. After making the changes
in your computer start run type cmd type IPconfig/all

The ZTE ZXDSL 831 is a modem/router supplied by Telekom. It works as a modem by default but you can change it to a router. In router mode, you don’t need to dial StreamyX anymore. The router will dial it for you automatically.
Configure to router mode.
[*]Login to http://192.168.1.1 with the username and password. If you don’t know the default username and password, please view ZTE ZXDSL 831 default password.
[*]When logged in, click on the WAN tab.
[*]Click on “ATM VC” and make sure interface aal5-0 VPI = 0 & VCI = 35, MUX = LLC, Max proto = 2.
[*]Click on “PPP” and then a new interface.
[*]Set the new interface as PPP interface = 0 ATM VC = aal5-0, protocol = PPoE, use DNS = enable, security = PAP. Don’t forget to set your username@ and also your password. Submit after that.
[*]After that, click on “Admin” and then “Commit” and then “Reboot”.
