Hi,Got a an iPhone 4 on 29th Dec.. My nano sim wasn't compatible so went to my network provider Airtel and got a micro Sim.. The executive said the sim will be activated in 4hrs.. But still it's not activated. When I call the customer care they say the sim is active and they have nothing more to do from their side..I tried another friends sim in my phone which works perfectly.. But my sim doesn't work in his phone. Tried resetting the network. Removed the sim and replaced. Turned off and on the airplane mode.. But no network in my mobile. Tried restoring the iPhone with iTunes.. Nothing worked. can anyone help me please..

If other SIM are working perfectly then no need to restore and reset your iPhone. Just walk-in to any airtel outlet with your iPhone and ask them to sort out the issue. :)

In Vodafone, If you buy a new sim you have to go into sim settings and choose prepaid/postpaid at your end as-well to activate the sim. Check if something similar is there on airtel. After selecting the correct option your phone will restart and you'll be connected to the network.

Really ? Because i never did that.. And my SIM is working fine .. :imbored:

@OPYou said that your friend's sim worked fine in your phone. Did you put your new sim card in your friend's phone and checked ? I am pretty sure there is no problem with your phone. If nothing works just tell them you need a normal sim and then cut that and use in your iPhone.

Yep.I bought two new sims. Had to do this on both of them. The first time i couldn't find the options, went to vodafone store and that guy told me that i had forgot to choose postpaid. The sim started working after that. Maybe its just for delhi ?
