well... looking at the pricing of new android launches, i am getting a feeling that these companies are forming a cartel. and the average price of top end android devices would soon range between 30-40K. so Nokia can easily sustain with a 25-30K pricing for their Windows Phone devices. Galaxy Note is 35k officially. Galaxy Nexus is rumored to be around 37-38K at launch. HTC is pricing their newer smartphones obscenely.

Even the same case about Motorola. Close to 34K for XT910 is like what the f***??Its not so long since high end droids from Moto, HTC likes are officially available in India and prices are going up. Rupee under pressure is one of the reason for sure.

heh. no one gives a shit about motorola right now. and well razr is probably worth the pricing. :) it has everything going for it expect the display which apparently is a disaster :)

Still I see lot of people talking about them. There is a lot of buzz about this company these days. It was literally absent from Indian market for couple of years that I even thought now people must have forgotten them. Defy, defy plus is a hit in mid range.

defy is probably a hit in india because it is priced right. and it has a good market in india because of the ruggedness factor. if i was in college and was looking for an android smartphone, i would probably prefer defy over Galaxy s.

i wonder if this would be considered a misleading advertising.

the phone does not come with the MS Office that most folks here know off. :)

I don't think it is misleading, considering the product is indeed named Microsoft Office on the mobile. Misleading would probably have been if they had put something like comes with Office, and put in Open Office as Office is associated more to MS than anyone else.

Microsoft Office Mobile seems to be the official branding.

Microsoft Office Mobile | Sync with SkyDrive | Windows Phone | Microsoft Office Mobile | Get Started with Windows Phone 7

Its upto the understanding of user. I don't see anything misleading there. Throughout the phone UI, its called MS Office but everyone know its mobile version (obviously). Also note that they have added word 'mobile' after every product comes under Office suite. Unnecessary to add that word everywhere especially on phone UI. It works on phone, obviously, somewhere, somehow its different from desktop counterpart.
