Not getting SMS on Airtel VoWiFi

anyone having incoming sms issues on VoWifi - when there is absolutely no cellular signal.

with no cellular signal, if i am on VoWifi-

• can make / receiving calls
• can send sms

BUT cannot receiving incoming sms. All incoming sms comes in chunk when I move out to a coverage area.


This happens only with Airtel VoWifi, works perfect on Jio VoWifi
Using samsung m30s, updated firmware

This is still not fixed for me. Still unable to recieve SMS on Airtel Vowifi. But able with Jio

Jio may not perform for net speed but is perfect for calls n sms.

I wanted to know if its handset specific, because Airtel escalation team says they never received such a complaint and it works fine for them.
Anyone who can confirm on their handset ?

Yes, that's the exact issue as you stated, I face it with Samsung Galaxy S20. It works with jio.

The issue is when there is no cellular signal and you are on VoWifi (meaning when you are in a room where there is 0 signal or coverage). When i am in an area with signal and while using VoWifi all sms works fine, else sms is getting sent but not received*
