Packet Loss and Slow Speed Problems on Airtel Broadband

I would recommend everybody to change to India DNS servers for time being.....bcoz the open DNS may give u timeouts.I would also recommend everybody to postpone their "big" downloads
 
i would suggests use the time for your torrent downloads. as surfing is crap ;)
 
I agree with you mate OpenDNS is certainly giving problems as far as surfing is concerned...But my torrents are still going @150KBs+... so yes both recommendations accepted....

forgive me for my ignorance but how does one change their DNS servers?
 


the only problem with torrents is the fewer number of US/Euro uploaders...apart from that no issues....yeah i almost missed trackers also matter...but mostly DHT helps over come that...:)
 
trackers are required connectivity like once in 30 minutes. so its not that big of a problem. if the torrent is popular, it would still give you good speeds. :D
 
whats wrong with downloading on torrent coz http is slow?
Its international bandwidth crunch. Mainly to Europe and north America
What if ur seeds/peers are mainly in Europe or NA.
if u r using desi torrents to download a bollywood movie, then its a different issue
