White balance, countdown timer, time-lapse mode and Scene settings have been removed in this app.
Also the reason for the large shutter button is that earlier the image was cropped inside the viewfinder. But now they are trying to show the full 4:3 preview inside a 16:9 display which means they can't expand it to take full screen without cropping it up like in the Nexus 5 (as sushubh mentioned). So even if the shutter button is bigger, the image you see is the full proper image you are going to click.

This camera image size is one fourth of the size Samsung default camera. Need to view this in PC to compare the quality (in mobile it looks very good)

The depth of field shot really works. Much better than what Sony HX100V fakes it.

On my recent trip to Nainital... I hardly took 10 photos from my RX100... Regular cameras just feel so annoying these days.

Gave it a go.
Meh.

No one told me that Moto G does not get panorama and photosphere functionality through this app :( I was so happy to inform my friend who has a G.

My review on this app in the Play Store. Disappointed.
A timer is essential for a camera app. I don't know why Google has removed it suddenly. Please get the timer back! And now we can't even pause a video while recording, there is only a stop button. Even pictures cannot be taken by double tapping the screen while recording a video. Please bring these 3 features back, Google!
