Go to 192.168.1.1 via your web browser. Username should be admin and the password field should br left blank. Create a screenshot of the page and post it here.

1. Try changing DNS to 208.67.222.222, 8.8.8.8. Simple right click LAN / Wireless adapter and take properties > TCP/IP properties > You will find an option to input DNS.
2. Are you facing this problem with other sites too ? If yes, change MTU values and check. Start from 1480 and add values of 10 and check.
3. Try Turbo mode in Opera browser and check.

Anyone with a solution? As posted in the screenshot, it says my billing period is less than one month? Is it correct? I got the connection on 14th of October but it seems the Ist billing period is only 17 days?

The screenshot does not appear to be from BSNL usage portals .This application may not calculate usage/quota for split periods. ( assumes you got connected on 1st of the month )Check in your own BSNL selfcare portal2. Your free usage wef Oct 17 2011.1532/31= 50MB/day x 15= 750MB approx.Any usage in excess will be charged. ( NU free )Deduct 750MB from summary shown on top in BSNL usage portal. ( Chargeable units less Night usage)

My connection was activated on 14th. So, i guess my billing period should be 14oct-13nov, right? Can't i go over 50mb per day and compensate it the other day if i need to avoid the excess usage?, or is there a limit for a day? What's bsnl's criterion for all these queries of mine? I phoned to my exchange but their knowledge is limited. Instead of clarifying, they messed the whole things up!

You SHOULD also reply to queries asked by members.
For instance you have not confirmed what usage meter you used .
2.
Register at CRM with your own choice of ID.
If Telephone was in use earlier you need the consumer number.
If Telephone is also new connection ask Bsnl CC or contact A.O(TR)
3.
Use only IE browser. Password will be sent to you by email.

You can use your quota in one day or in balance days..
Unused BB usage / entitled FREE telephone calls will not be carried forward.

Use FireFox Browser with add on AdblockPlus to block advts video etc
when surfing.
