Please help, Unable to connect to internet

Under the WAN edit section for the vpi/vci i have values reading as 0 and 35.As far as entering the dns servers directly, i have tried by entering them as well but still i was not able to connect to the internet.I hate calling the BSNL guys, they take an eternity to come, please help me figure out this.
 
@members/estel/Access you usage page . Select change your User ID password. type the old passwordagain. now try. If still not getting connected only BSNL exchange can unlock the password.Also post ipconfig/all
 
hi the possible solution for the problem is replacing your modem..so first try connecting to the internet with your neighbour's modem ..if you are accessed to the net with the other modem,modulation function of the modem might be in an error state.If you are still not accessed to the net call your nearest service provider for the problem.

Thanks for all the replies but i am still not able to connect to the internet.

I tried pinging google.com, but i received a message saying google.com unknown host please check the name. I also tried with the DNS that essbebe had given it didn't work either. I am posting some screen shots of my modem settings i hope that someone will be able to figure this out and help me connect to the internet.









sorry if i am quoting :ashamed: but i have this same problem since yesterday :(
i dont know what happened ....it was working fine yesterday morning but when i came back afternoon at home i switched my pc on and i am unable to access internet its not connecting the same problem like estel i checked everyting but still :(:(

anybody please help:cry:

test the connection from internet provider

PPP server > fail

Ping default gateway > fail

others aall ok > PASS



SORRY ESTEL FOR COPYING THE IMAGES FROM U:( BUT IT LOOKS THE SAME ...

AND FOR IPCONFIG ...i didnt change anyting from their....means no dns server attached or etc....all automatic settings

i checked in usageportal ..but its not working :wall:http://bbservice.bsnl.in/ is not working since 3 weeks for me :(:(
anyways i have to logout now from internet cafe :cry:

:(
