@ananthmsakthi68 You can put the ONU in bridge and still use the ONU for your telephone line as internet and VOICE/voip configurations are different. I use it that way. It's working absolutely fine.

So you are suggesting to use the telephone line in the ONU if it is connected to another router via Bridge mode, that makes sense to me if the ONT has a RJ 11 or RJ 45 port for the connection. However, I am planning to buy this ONT device TP link ONT this device doesn't have any RJ11 or RJ45 port for the telephone connection. So my doubt is, even though the ONT doesn;t have any port for telephone line can i still use the telephone on the bridge connected secondary router that is Tenda D303.

Can you suggest.

@ananthmsakthi68 The answer is NO, simply because the Tenda D303 is a ADSL2+ Modem router and doesn't support VoIP and SIP although it has a RJ11 port and will work only in case of ADSL Broadband only.

Hello @thadougamer i need some suggestion on buying the new router for the BSNL FTTH since the stock Net Link Router doesn't even transmit the wifi for the ground floor. What do you think about the router
"TP-Link’s N300 Wireless GPON router" will this serve better VoIP and the wifi range better.

You need to configure it in bridge mode with Netlink and then run it, your router cannot replace your onu,(netlink) there's supposed to work in conjunction

@srinivas39326 Did you check with your LCO whether they are using GPON or EPON OLT?

TP-Link XR500V only supports GPON

Hello everyone I am using bsnl ftth connection through Netlink hg323rgw device. I dont like netlink hg323rgw which is only a single band, so I purchased TP-Link Archer xr500v model. But I am not getting internet, i configured all settings but no use, so does anyone using tp link archer xr500v for bsnl ftth? Does this model support bsnl ftth? Please anyone answer me.

It's says GPON in its page most lco use EPON olt.. If the ont is epon supported then it would be fine.
Need to check the epon compatibility of the tplink xr500v. How much did it cost for the router?

If you issue is with the range of the wifi, you could use a wifi extender which is cheaper. Or purchase a high power router from Tplink. Or if you have unused routers, you could use them as a wifi extender.

My lco using GPON Olt, so i purchased TP-Link xr500v model which is Gpon. It costed me Rs. 3600. I have contacted Tp link customer support regarding issue, they said my TP-Link xr500v serial number should be entered in lco Olt.

Where did you purchase it from?
