Porting from Reliance CDMA to Vodafone GSM

PC Suite for 206 works via bluetooth. but easiest way would be "existing phone > sim > 206(copy from sim)" repeat untill all are copied.

Gsm phone would accept cdma sim? Also freaking shame that sim I got from Vodafone has capacity of just 300 numbers. I thought they 64k Sims had arrived with more capacity?

No. GSM phones can't read cdma sims.32k can hold 150, iirc.

see if you can get hold of a GSM + CDMA mobile. that might do the trick

No biggie though. SIM transfers have a major issue. They do not hold proper names. And individual names cannot have multiple numbers. So, a lot of data is lost.
I am doing it manually merging numbers. Once that is done, I would try to get a backup through Nokia PC Suite in case he changes a phone in the future.
