yeah those ads really suck. mostly its cricket, sometimes its something else.

Why not try the 'Do Not Disturb' link at the bottom of their website Vodafone. I used to get a lot of bum calls & sms all of its stopped, except for an odd one, who when I tell them I am on the DNC register cut the call . Unless you have subscribed for some scheme on some website, of course

haha i totally agree with amish..i hate when they show the stupid cricket sms info instead of area info on every international cricket game day. spammers. also those stupid phonecalls with music playing trying to sell us stuff. i just add every number to my block list and don't pick it up again ever.

i think i said this earlier, i want to program which maintains blacklist and when a call comes from that number, it picks it up and disconnects in 2seconds!! (optionally saying person does not wish to receive ur call)that wud make them think b4 calling again, as its charged them (or company) without work being done.

Vodafone has an option for maintaining a ‘blacklist’, but it’s a chargeable service (Vodafone Call Filter). So I never paid any attention to it. DNC works well for me. Also Sony Ericsson phones of the K series eg K750i, K790i have a round about way of having a ‘blacklist’
‘Settings’ -> ‘Calls’ -> 'Manage Calls' -> ‘Accept Calls’ -> ‘Only from list’ then create lists or groups of your ‘WHITELIST’ now ALL other numbers will be ignored. But remember if you use this option and someone you know & wants to talk to you but uses a different phone number to call you will not be able to get thru. This option is too rigid.

i think symbian programs are available for download that do exactly this
symbian answering machine(google for it) with your phone model number
I found this free trial Download Best Answering Machine 2.05 for Symbian Free Trial - Softpedia

You can leave a welcome/"to hell with you" message, and you just need to set the recording time for 2 secs i guess

thanks, but probably i wudnt be using it as i prefer free one :p

network probs with vodafone are at an all time high!! i receive a phone call but no voice reaches either party
