Problems with Vodafone India

thx guys for ur support.... I feel little better now from all ur support that u have shown :)

I have already written them an email 2 days back before posting . I only got that autographed response till now, no call back from vodafone yet (nodal officer).

whoa, who wud pay so much for just 10mins of viewing?!! crazy.

it was more like 4 min of viewing (4 ciips of 1 min each ) rest 6 min went with application error i.e redo the whole process again.

yes you must write an email... same happened with me... i took unlimited gprs pack but still 70 something rupees got deducted from my balance for gprs. i spent a week calling customer care but nothing happened.. then i wrote an email and the amount was credited to my balance in 3 days..


customer care gave me various stories... u have exceeded download limits.... this pack is only for surfing through vodafone live website.... you cannot download its only surfing... call later system is down etc etc...

but after writing an email i got a call from senior executive and was told that it takes 4 hrs to activate the plan. please take care from next time. this time we are crediting the amount because you were not informed

hey even I wanted to activate this Rs 95 unltd Gprs service but cc ppl told me the same thing that 2GB limit is only for browsing not for downloading. I asked them whether I could use it to download stuff on my mobile like songs from sites which allow free song dwnld. He said I will be charged for it wtf ? so are u able to download on ur mobile using this service if ur still using it :)
 
technically downloading is part of browsing. browsing consumes data just like downloading. by downloading they probably means downloading from their own store or something like that.
 
so it is essentially a scam where you pay for content as well as data transfer. :)

80 % is fault of cc nd 20 % for vod for employing such cc service. nd I guess from 10th May even customers are gonna pay for using such cc service.
btw anyone on vodafone would know the cc guys wont stop saying "sir I am happy to help you" every 2 sec with a super sad voice as if someone has put gun to their head while they are saying it lol initially it was funny but now its pretty annoying.
 
If you are on the move and if you using an advanced handset then you can send them a mail regarding the same, otherwise calling the CC from an STD booth might be the only option !

ya I knw lol but I dont have so much time to do that just to get sm recharge info :whistle:

btw I spoke to cc they are saying if u call 8 times during one day ur no. gets bared I told them I only call 2 times a month very that to rarely then he said sir its not fixed we have some technical problem also going on lol

yes i do download apps from Nokia ovi store using vodafone gprs and it's free
 
Just got a call from Vod nodal officer.....read it its gonna be interesting.

1st she gave me a missed call lol as she cut the call after 4 sec of ringing

Then after 10 min got the call picked it up wow once she confirmed my name she did not shut up for complete 3 min and spoke continuously without a stop quite rude too her sound was and she kept on telling me sir u have done browsing on ur number, ur doing it before also, nd vod mob tv will charge for data that is understood nd we will not revert u back the bal , our cc did nt give u wrong info.......

She kept on blabbing that u are doing browsing on ur number nd that's why u have been charged.

I then had to tell her now listen to me thankfully she did shut up then.

This is what I told her
I told her tht before activating vod tv the browsing on my number was on opera mini where I was just being charged Rs 4 to 5 per session where as, as soon as I activated vod TV u took out RS 124 in just 10 min from my account.

Also she kept on telling me ur not telling me the truth and asked for the name of the person who I spoke too which I obviously dont rember (If i had known this is the screw up that was gonna happen I would have written his name with a permanent marker lol ). So I told her that she should listen to the recordings of cc on my number nd guess what she said "no no that is not possible there aew so many recordings" (so she expects me to remember the name of every cc guy I spek to now from vodafone so that she knws I am telling the truth nd whn i tell her to pull out the recoding she is giving me excuses)


Finlay she kept on repeating the same stuff again nd again what I have already heard from cc.....

Then I told her I wanna deactivate my account nd stop using ur services on account of wrongful information given by you more over accusing me rather than pulling out the recordings for ur self.

Finally she agreed to put back the browsing charges but she is saying that she won't put back the vodafone tv subscription charges. Anyways after so much of time waste with these ppl something is better than nothing :thumb:

After one day she is saying I will get bak browsing bal let u knw if i got it back or not
 
24 hrs gon no refund made as told by nodal officer it will be made within 24hrs. Written another email. PATHETIC nd FRUSTRATING.

you should keep track of the names of the people you talk on cc.... keep it in mind for future problems
 
2days gon no refund given was told to get it within 24hrs on 6th May by nodal officer.
Tried calling on nodal officer no. of Vodafone got automated message that the user messages are full wtf?
Now I have written another email to them about this, again now the waiting period. Sukx big time !!!!!!

you should keep track of the names of the people you talk on cc.... keep it in mind for future problems

I don't plan to call cc for any services related info. now as I spoke to them few days back they are telling me even if i dwnd on Rs 95 recharge 2GB from another site other then Vodafone live I will be charged....complete misguided info. end result burden on the consumer of Vodafone
 
I had to write them another email telling them that you had not refunded me the browsing charges that they said it would be refunded in 24hrs.well they refunded back the browsing charges after 3 days after that but I am not happy with their service since even nodal officer is giving wrong info.When I spoke to her today regarding the 2nd email she had no concern that I had to write another email, my time wastage nd rather she did not even apologize nd disconnected the line. PATHETIC !!!!!!!!I hope I don't encounter such problems again nd Vodafone should definitely at least get some good nodal officer.
