Problems with Vodafone India

Vodafone are meant for cheating.. that is why after 6 years, i shifted to BSNL CellOne postpaid... atleast less headache of calling customer care !! 2001/2 when hutch came in karnataka, i was one among those postpaid customers. they won the best customer support award on the very first year. see the difference now.. Now totally lost faith in them.. Network disconnection is the worst problem i couldnt bear. calling another hutch number of my room mate will say "Number not reachable" (eventhough he is verymuch having full signal strength) Enoughhhh and moreeeeeeee... thank you vodafone !!! appus

They had disconnected my phone to due non-payment of bills. Its not because i cannot afford the 3k bill, its because i dont get time for paying it before the specified date. Hence i got this custom of making a payment of 500/- every week. Means instead of paying the whole 3k or 2k in lumpsum, i make the payment in parts of 500/- every week....Some days earlier, i made a payment of 800/-. I wasn't provided a receipt for the transaction. The cashier mentioned that i would be getting a message by sms. Didnt have the time to argue with him and left them for good. The next day, while traversing along the highway, the car developed some problem and stopped abruptly. The service centre number was on a sticker in the front pane, and i decided to give them a call. It was then that i realized that they havent credited my account with 800/- which i had paid earlier. And i was stranded in the highway for 2 hours. And the amount was credited to my account only after 18 hours and my outgoing was released an hour after that.That evening i terminated my postpaid corporate account...Now am on Airtel Corporate, lemme see what they has to offer

Hi,

Vodfone live GPRS service is cheating us. I downloaded 2 midi tones( from a website), which is approximately 40 kb in total.

and the download charge specified in Vodafone website is 10kb = 10 paise.

But, after i downloaded, checked my account balance, shocked to see 3 rupees deducted from my account :madness:.

they are cheating us
i had just experienced this kind of problem as i used postpaid i cant know how am i charged after bill comes i was shocked i just used for around 75-100 kbps but i received tat the usage charge is 75rs/= tat day itself i had deactivated vodafone live

yes ur right i belong to tamilnadu and when i was roaming in bangalore i stuck with hutch n/w it was totally dead for some times and so i have experienced the signal problem in bangalore

but instead the above two posts i have to say one thing tat is in tamilnadu i experince a good n/w connection from vodafone the signal is good even when i was in national highway so vodafone provides a good service for its customers in tamilnadu&chennai

i barely use vodafone live but i've never been over-charged... so far so good

i always notice this..when use vodafone live.. not frequent.. but i always notice this. that i am charged 10-20p extra.phone wud show say 95k down and 25k up but insted of cutting Rs 1.20, it always cuts Rs.1.40 or so.

I have used vodafone live many times, and not a single time i have been over-charged.I hope, you people consider the size of the page, which you open to get access to your midi tones or other things.Vodafone homepage itself is around 30-40 kB. So count 30-40 ps for it. Then, you open a sub page to go to your midi tones. That page also has data over it, and that constitutes to download.I mostly use vodafone live to check live scores of cricket matches. I have bookmarked the score page, its around the size of 30 KB.So, everytime i see the score, my account gets deducted by 30 ps.

Is anyone else having serious problems with Vodafone? For the past few weeks, I (as well as another friend of mine) have been getting this one really irritating problem where in a good chunk (say 25 - 30%) of calls, when the call is picked up, the caller can hear you going "hello hello hello" but you can't hear them.As of today, many calls just randomly drop and disconnect in anything between 5 to 30 seconds.I wish instead of wasting money on so much advertising (Hutch is now Vodafone) they spent the money on bettering their services and infrastructure.So is anyone else experiencing these problems?

Yeap!! am also from Delhi...Like u said there are some serious problems with Vodafone now..The worst is customer care, it never connects.when i dial CC it always shows "Network failure" and moreover sometimes am not able to connect to a number at first attempt...i always have to dial 2 or 3 times to connect to a Number and there is a hell lot of disturbance making the Call quality a worst one...Vodafone really sucks!! they were promising to bring some new innovations and offers to India but instead they have worsen every problems:O..Hutch was 100 times batter.Looks like Govt needs to do something about this or atleast they should try to improve MTNL so that Vodafone and Airtel will feel some heat of competition.:cool2:

next time instead of guessing (or using around word) how many KBs u used:1) Notedown ur balance2) Reset ur GPRS data counters to zero3) Surf for 2-3min using GPRS and disconnect GPRS4) wait for sometime as actual deduction from a/c take sometime5) Check ur GPRS upload and download counter6) round it to next 10th kb7) Check ur balance8) verifyi am sure atleast 10kb wud be cut extrabtw i dont use vodafone live page as homepage, they have purposely kept it big and full of images (i have disabled images as well.)
