@x86_64 I don't think so. Though, I'm usually routed through Mumbai, but right now it is Delhi

Guys, a general question...

Why you people are using Q9 DNS where you can use any other better one? Alright, I understand the privacy thing. So instead of Google DNS why not use Cloudflare DNS for their better routes, speed & reliability? Why Quad9 when they don't give any custom options like filtering or anything?

I personally would never use anything except Google as Primary & Cloudflare as Secondary if not for AdBlocking. The only reason I use other providers except these two is for AdBlocking else nobody can beat them in terms of all 3 aspects (I'm not talking about a specific ISP, I'm talking worldwide).

Q9 DNS Ping directly from Excitel router :
64 bytes from 9.9.9.9: icmp_seq=0 ttl=60 time=8.0 ms
64 bytes from 9.9.9.9: icmp_seq=1 ttl=60 time=7.6 ms
64 bytes from 9.9.9.9: icmp_seq=2 ttl=60 time=7.7 ms
64 bytes from 9.9.9.9: icmp_seq=3 ttl=60 time=8.0 ms
64 bytes from 9.9.9.9: icmp_seq=4 ttl=60 time=7.2 ms
This is going to Delhi.

My local ISP from India, this makes no sense:

The problem with Cloudflare is that they have had outages too many times. It's fine if you are using under load-balance.
I have people who rely on me to manage their Internet, it's not something I can recommend or use.

This is cancerous ping 😭.

Why does it go to California when obviously India is closer 🤔. Damn anycast is even more stranger than I thought. Does it give the same experience when you set Q9 as your DNS with your local ISP of India?

Here I was crying because Excitel was routing me to Mumbai servers instead of Delhi 😭.

Yes, the outages are real. Yes, I use it on my primary Excitel router as secondary load balance. As without using Google & Cloudflare DNS there, my AdGuard DNS starts working bad on uploads and downloads (uploads for Google drive and YouTube and downloads for Xbox, epic games store, EA launcher and ubisoft connect).
