RCS Messaging on Apple iPhone here in India

To check if RCS works you go to the about section and then click on network provider option in sim details . Keep clicking until you see IMS STATUS .

If no RCS it will show Voice and SMS. If RCS is enabled it will show Voice SMS and RCS.

ios 18 is now officially launched & I use jio esim as my primary sim and for some reason I dont see RCS option, is it hidden? or only available in US?

also i dont understand how can it be limited to a single carrier, isnt it a service like SMS and if carrier support it, we shouldnt face any restriction communicating cross carriers? is it because its internet based? so they can block it?

RCS is not listed in Airtel, Jio, Vi under India

RCS is not listed in any country of the page link. It's not just for India. Does it mean, RCS is truly not available in all the countries listed on that page, or does it mean that RCS may be available but is simply not mentioned explicitly on the page.
