Did that when i was in car. Gps was locked....still didnt get anything

I checked with my old vodafone sim (2002)... it did not detect 3G connection
it seems problem in old sims... not sure

there are tons of apps. play with them all. keep the one you like.

there is no official app yet.

I too had bought camerazoom during a sale. Never used either. Now I know how sales benefit the sellers more than buyers.
