@vinkz93 trawl through linkedin to find key staff names.
RIL uses firstname.lastname format - shoot to anyone who appears remotely relevant.

Update on my case:

After 14 days , a decent technician turned up unlike the joker who came last time.
Acknowledged that number of qualified staff is low and their first and only priority is new connections which is the reason why service tickets keep getting postponed indefinitely.

As suspected the SnR was the problem.
My HSG has two storeyed houses in the middle of an area which has largely high rise apartments and there was no clear LOS to any tower.
For whatever reason, Jio has opted for ODUs that almost mandatorily need clear LOS to a tower - which they could not find from my terrace.
Rather surprising since I do get pretty decent Jio 5G coverage on regular phones but it is what it is.

He acknowledged that this should not have been installed to begin with and would be marking it as non feasible installation . But I guess the push to acquire new customers is high so they'll never call it out at installation time.

I'll be taking a local fiber connection as backup to Airtel this weekend - I wonder if any refund from Jio will ever come my way.

One interesting snippet - hard to say how accurate and also if its a one time rollout or a rolling one.. or limited only to specific cities.
But starting mid March or so , they have apparently started binding ODUs to the tower it is supposed to be latched to .

oh yeah, another layer of lock in.
Now I don't think I am gonna use it after 6 months is over.

Guys, I complained to PGPortal, it got forwarded to DGM, Radha Niar. From there, got a call and they raised a new service request. Usual technician guy came running and called their TGH( Call center with real engineers I guess). He raised a callback from Level 2 TGH.

L2 TGH asked if router is connected to a socket which is connected to UPS? ( I was like duh). He said wifi will have fluctuations if connected to UPS line ( Which seems bullshit). Asked me to test to a socket which does not have UPS line.

We are having a power outage in my area.
Can anyone confirm this?

I've been experiencing frequent internet issues, and I raised a complaint the day before yesterday. However, the issue remains unresolved.

I've already lodged numerous complaints, but using JIO AIRFiber at home is still not beneficial. The engineer mentioned that this area lacks sufficient frequency, leading to frequent disconnection of the internet connection. but they are not ready to refund the amount

@rohit267 @rsuyambu strangely I also observed frequent disconnections , like suddenly the internet stops and after lot of debugging I found if you turn off WiFi in your device and reconnect it works instantly, but again randomly the internet stops and disconnecting WiFi and reconnecting works, defenitely router issue and not the signal or outdoor issue. I reset the router twice let me observe for few more days and comment later.

Jio Airfiber Landline - The JioJoin app allows to convert any mobile device to make and receive calls using the landline number provided by Jio Airfiber. Just download and login and do make sure you use the default DNS of Jio Airfiber wifi.

Another solution I saw on YT is that you use a RJ45to RJ11 convertor. But this I have not tested. If anyone has tested please let me know.

I think its cheaper and better to just get a 5G router yourself (which is expensive, 20k or so), and use a Jio sim. That's what I am doing, and I get around 400-600 mbps, depending on the time. As of now, not paying anything other than the monthly rental of the basic plan (395 for 84 days) and getting unlimited 5G.

Ofcourse once the unlimited 5G offer goes away, things would be different, but I just use it for backup, so wouldn't need as much data.
