Using a Asus Max Pro M1 with a Jio sim & Jio fiber at home but no VoWifi for me but some other users of this model also with Jio sim seems to be getting VoWifi so they say on the Asus forum. Maybe they are at different location

@socrates Technically Both.
The manufacturer has to push an OTA enabling VoWiFi and the carrier has to enable it from their side too.

VoWiFi has been rolled out to select Samsung and Apple handsets only. My IP has been working on Wi-Fi since the past few weeks...Sat 7th Dec '19 IIRC. And unlike Airtel's VoWiFi which works primarily with Airtel broadband, Jio's VoWIFI works on any broadband line.

The phone received a new firmware (13.3) and carrier setting update (40.1) after which it was enabled. You will need to wait for Jio AND your phone's mfr to enable this feature. Plus, do remember it has been rolled out in some telecom circles only.

@C3PO You are right Jio has not enabled (enabled by Asus) yet for my city. It's only a matter of time when they do

Jio's WiFi calling is on trials phase. It worked for me in 2018 once on Galaxy On7 Prime and even it worked for a day recently last month. It wasn't on selected phones it worked fine on all the phones which supports Jio VoWiFi. I tested on Galaxy A70, M30s and A50s.

@RummaanKhan which city are you based in? It may be in trial phase because there has been no formal announcement from Jio. But regardless of this being a trial or formal launch it's not been rolled out to all handsets. My wife's Google Pixel does not have the VoWiFi feature enabled yet.

A member contacted Jio Support and they mentioned it is active on Apple iPhones and some Samsung handsets. That message is on this thread and he's provided a screen shot of his chat with Support.

My handset has worked with VoWiFi for the past 3+ weeks without any interruptions on different ISPs. I tested individually with Airtel, You BB and Tata Sky BB.
