Reliance Jio Wi-Fi Calling (VoWiFi) launched officially

^ What is the point of WiFi Calling then? It doesn't solve the issue for the people living in Delhi on Ground Floor. In a lot of area, Ground Floor is SWITCH OFF not even Low / No Network Area.

Phone is shown as Switch Off if I am on Ground Floor away from road (non-road side facing rooms).

Yeah. That is a problem. That is what I am saying. It should connect to the network if you have sim in the phone + working WiFi is there.

If we could confirm the same with the people who own Airtel?

If Airtel doesn't have this issue, it means Jio has not implemented it properly.

Because if you go in an area where there is no network and if your phone sends total dead last signal to Jio. No matter what, Jio WiFi wont connect.

That is what happening with me right now.
Yes thats the problem even in my samsung phone if vowifi is already active it remains connected even if i select network mode to 2G only and calls and messages work but if i try to establish fresh connection it won,t work until i re connect to Jio,s 4G network.

So for initiating Vowifi in jio and airtel mobile network is required. So its useless if no network is there.

On Asus Max Pro M1/M2 I had noticed (from day 1) that in airplane mode VoWifi gets switched off but if I shift to 2G & switch off 'enhanced 4g LTE mode', VoWifi works. And I am using a Jio sim.

@socrates In none of my android phones vowifi works in flight mode. Are you able to activate vowifi after restarting the phone without changing the network mode back to 4G?

Maybe they're collecting tower data and location details for security purposes.
Once all that done it allows to connect through wifi.
But, How is it a security reason?

If the SIM is there in the Phone, if the Device's IMEI is the same as it was before in Normal Jio. There is no further security checkup is left I guess.
